our horses

Kalimna Luther aka Lex is the youngest, but biggest of our horses. He is over 17hh and a real gentle giant. Originally purchased by a friend of mine, she trusted me with his training from the tender age of 3 years. He started his ground work, his ridden work and had his first competition outings with me. When she decided to sell him, my husband surprised me with buying Lex for me so he could stay with us. Today he is successfully competing in official Dressage.

Sox (aka Fuerstenglanz) was a beautiful Warmblood mare and my very first ever own horse. When I got her, I didn't know a lot. When I lost her, I knew lots. She always was problematic and I could not shake the feeling that there was something not quite right with her. After years of questions and doubt and many tears, she eventually got diagnosed with ECVM (Equine Complex Vertebral Malformation) and we sadly had to let her go. I would not be the rider, trainer and person I am today without having had Soxy in my life and to this day her story educates people worldwide.

Mary (aka Mary Moo or Mary Supersonic) is a truly remarkable mare. She is very much the matriarch of the group. I coached Mary with her previous owner Margaret and when Margaret very unexpectedly passed away, her family kindly gifted Mary to us. She became the horse that Norbert learned to ride on and proceed to compete in horseback archery (even winning State and National titles) as well as babysitting numerous green horses and nervous riders and teaching people the sill of horse training. Mary is a very special girl and we are lucky to have her with us in her rather proud age.

Top Gun aka Tommy (or Thomas when he is naughty)

has found me when he was a not even 4 years old as an

unbroken, cheeky, red-haired boy. Tom is a little pocket rocket

and can be quite spicy at times, but over the past years we have formed a tight bond. I have trained him slowly and methodically to become the Advanced Dressage horse he is today. We also enjoy bush riding and do a lot of our training out on the track.
